What’s for Dinner? Quick Turkey Chili

This recipe is one of my go-to’s for those busy nights when the kids have sports or meetings.  I almost always have all the ingredients on hand.  It goes together quickly and my kids both love it.  I got this recipe from my friend Leslie, who is a Pampered Chef rep.

Quick Turkey Chili
1 onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
3 garlic cloves, chopped
2 Tb olive oil
1 pound ground turkey or ground beef
1/2 tsp salt
1.5 Tb Taco Seasoning Mix  (I use the low sodium version)
2 Tb Flour
One 28 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained
One 15 oz can black beans, drained and rinsed
One 15 oz can chili beans in sauce, undrained
1/2 cup water

Heat oil in Dutch oven.  Add onion, bell pepper, jalapeno, garlic and ground turkey.  Sauté until meat is cooked.  Drain if necessary.  Add salt, flour and taco seasoning.  Stir for a minute or two to cook the flour.  Add tomatoes, beans and water.  Simmer for 4-6 minutes.  Serve immediately.

    I love chili, too, and I love trying different variations. This turkey chili recipe sounds delicious! Sometimes I do a meatless version with a couple kinds of beans; it's great!

  2. This looks great and super easy! Our go to meal is chicken noodle soup, I always have everything to make it in the pantry. So EASY!
