I love it when I can take a great piece of furniture that’s just not working for me and revamp it. Read on for a quick cedar chest makeover!
I bought this cedar chest at a consignment store years ago. It’s been quietly sitting in the corner of our bedroom for the last several years. Most of the time, it’s covered with stuff. Books, laundry that need to be folded and other miscellaneous stuff.
One of my goals this year is to turn our bedroom into more of a relaxing sanctuary. That means getting rid of clutter catching items like this cedar chest. So I decided to move this piece of furniture out of the bedroom and into our living room.
Cedar Chest Makeover with Paint
I just love the difference a coat of paint or stain can make! Have you seen the makeover I did on an old wooden medicine cabinet I found at a salvage yard? It’s pretty cool too!
Have you ever revamped a piece of furniture just so you could move it into a new room? I want to hear about it!
